LiteTouch Laser

Patients love our laser dentistry service because it provides a painless, efficient option for soft and hard tissue care. When working with sensitive tissues like your gums, cheeks, and tongue, our doctors use the LiteTouch Laser. Patients benefit from our use of the LiteTouch Laser because they are less likely to require sutures or anesthesia during involved procedures.

Additionally, the LiteTouch Laser prevents excessive post-procedure bleeding. LiteTouch Laser may be used in procedures like soft tissue crown lengthening, implant exposure, periodontal treatment, and more. Our doctors are professionals when it comes to laser dentistry, and they look forward to answering any questions you may have about it.

T-Scan

For faster dental diagnostics, our team utilizes T-Scans to assist in evaluating the balance of your bite pattern. If your bite pattern is thrown off, this could be the cause of chronic jaw pain, neck pain, headaches, and toothaches. Additionally, when you pursue restorative dentistry, T-Scans can be used to ensure restorations like dental implants and dental bridges align with your bite pattern comfortably.

CBCT

Chapel Hill Family and Cosmetic Dentistry provide in-house Cone Beam CT Scans (CBCT) to drastically reduce our patient’s exposure to radiation compared to traditional x-ray machines. These CBCT scans allow our doctors to examine your jaw bone, nasal cavity, and various soft tissues.

This allows our team to come up with a treatment plan that takes all aspects of your dental health into consideration beforehand. CBCT can be used during dental implant placement procedures, treating sleep apnea patients, detecting tooth root infections, and many other dental services.

iTero Scanner

We use a handheld digital scanner to take dental impressions for creating treatment plans. Digital impressions mean no more messy trays to hold in your mouth. They provide immediate high-resolution imagery for use in the creation of dental restorations and Invisalign clear aligners.

The iTero digital scanner is used chairside and will give our dental care team an in-depth look at your teeth, gums, and surrounding oral tissues.
